Re: Arnold Foo Obituary and Memorial Service

It is with profound grief that the medical laboratory professionals learned of the passing away of Arnold Foo on 30th September 2010, the beloved husband of Helga and the twins, Andy and Bernie. He leaves his wife, sons, family members and many friends, colleagues and students to cherish his memory.

Arnold is a nice and frank gentleman with warm and pleasant personality, extraordinary insight and outstanding professional achievements.  He dedicated himself to the profession of medical laboratory sciences for over 30 years.  He has been officially appointed to the Council and various working committees of Hong Kong Medical Technologists Board, and was a prominent and active council member Hong Kong Institute of Medical Laboratory Sciences for decades. He worked tirelessly to ensure that fellow workers and students were given appropriate support and guidance, respectively.  Away from his work, he was known for his passion for hiking and swimming.  Arnold will be greatly missed!

Should you wish to convey your condolences to his family members, please note that the funeral will be held on the second floor of Hong Kong Funeral Home, North Point at 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm, October 13^th.  The cremation will be taken at Cape Collinson Crematorium at 9:45 am, October 14^th.  A booklet is available to friends, colleagues and students expressing final tributes to him, which will accompany with Arnold to his destiny.  The memorial service for Arnold will be taken at Rayson Huang Lecture Theatre, Hong Kong University at 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm, Saturday afternoon, October 16^th.  The map of the venue is enclosed.  We are prepared to recall our encounters with the deeply missed gentleman.  You may consider bringing along soft copies of your photos with Arnold for sharing.
